Thanks for sharing this. I’m Jewish, and I’m often frustrated by the West’s singular focus on race as the sole determiner of prejudice. Middle Eastern people are tribal. Race isn’t thought of as much as which tribe you belong to. Discussions about race are certainly warranted, but I think they often blind Westerners to other ways of life.

Stumbled across your platform from Hidden Histories, and am so glad! I write a lot about culture and race and tribalism, and we confuse and construct our histories. I am reading about the classical Greeks and much like Jesus, Santa Claus, and the Cowboy, modernity has created a white mythology about these figures. Can't wait to explore more of your writing. Also, the advice on the Sentence book is great, esp for me as a new writer.
